Jobs in Canada
Canada needs skilled people to drive its development. Our booming economy and an unemployment rate of 6%, the lowest in 32 years, means we will always need to look offshore to fill the demand for specialist talent and skills.
Looking for skilled people
Citizenship and Immigration Canada plan to admit between 240,000 and 265,000 new permanent residents to Canada in 2007. This is the highest immigration target in the last 25 years.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada recognize the benefits of attracting highly skilled workers. Nearly 59% of Canada’s immigrants are in the skilled worker and business immigrant categories. They help fill shortages in our labour market or invest in our economy and contribute to Canada’s economic growth.
