In the top 25 cities were: Vancouver (3rd), Toronto (15th), Ottawa (tied for 18th), Montreal (22nd) and Calgary (24th).

Despite being the second-largest country in the world Canada still has a relatively small population for its expansive landscape, with a population density among the lowest in the world. Canada has the highest per capita immigration rate in the world, driven by a vibrant economy.

For the past decade the economy has grown rapidly. We are quickly becoming a knowledge-based economy built on innovation and technology. 

We have a high-tech industrial society with strong growth in the manufacturing, mining and service sectors.

Canada’s geography is diverse and breathtaking with fertile plains, vast mountain ranges, lakes and rivers. Canada has more lakes than any other country and the longest coastline in the world at 243,000 km.

As a nation we are culturally diverse, dynamic, and innovative. We have an enormous amount to offer migrants and returning Canadians. It’s no wonder over 13,000 Brits make Canada their new home each year.
